Janet E. Truman has been a licensed Broker since 1985. She is a Past President of the Western Maine Board of Realtors, Past President of the Maine Real Estate Information System (MREIS), Charter Member of MERIS Board of Directors from its formation until 2006, Past Member of Western Maine Board of Realtors Ethics Committee & Professional Standings Committee, Realtor of the Year 1992, Western Maine Board of Realtors. Janet is an avid hiker, summer and winter and she enjoys rowing her Adirondack guide boat "Pond Lily". She is a member of AMC's "4000 Club" after a 15-month effort hiking all of the forty-eight 4000 footers in New Hampshire. In 2008, she reached a long-time goal of hiking the Grand Canyon from the North Rim to the South Rim. Many of these hikes were with her rescue dog, Molly, who now enjoys being rowed around the pond!  She has served as a chairperson to the local planning board in Waterford and is a sixth generation family member from the town of Waterford.

Janet has a strong interest and background in listing rural land parcels and lots with considerable experience advising both property owners, sellers and developers in regards to values, potential uses and divisions of land. She is also very experienced in residential properties, especially unique buildings & homes and vacation properties.
